How the Rectangle Flag is printed

Every rectangle flag is printed with dye sublimation. Heat turns the ink into a gas that bonds inside the polyester fibres, so the color becomes part of the fabric instead of sitting on top of it. The result is a soft, flexible graphic with no cracking, peeling or stiff ink layer, and colors that hold up to sun, rain and repeated washing far better than surface-printed banners.

You can order it single-sided or double-sided. A single-sided print-through flag carries one graphic: the front is bright and the back shows the same design in reverse with softer color, which is the most budget-friendly way to brand a flag. A double-sided flag joins two separate prints with a light-blocking layer between them, so both faces read correctly and you can run a different message on each side — handy when traffic passes in both directions.

Choosing the right base

The base you need depends on the surface. A ground stake pushes into grass, sand or soil and is the simplest option for lawns, beaches and festival fields. A cross base folds flat and holds the pole upright on hard floors, pavements and car parks; add a water bag on top of it for extra weight outdoors. A square steel base is the heaviest choice for hard surfaces where you want the flag to stay put all day.

Every base uses a spinning spindle, so the flag turns with the wind instead of fighting it. That keeps your graphic facing the street and reduces strain on the poles.

Care, storage and getting the longest life

Take the rectangle flag down in very strong wind or storms, and let it dry fully before storage to avoid mildew. The fabric can be hand washed in cold water with mild detergent and air dried. Rotating two flags on long outdoor campaigns, or bringing them in overnight, greatly extends their life. Store the hardware in a carry bag so poles stay straight and connectors stay clean.

Design tips for a rectangle flag that people actually read

Because the rectangle flag keeps its corners, you can use the full width for a headline at the top, a product photo or icon in the middle, and a phone number or web address at the bottom. Keep at least two inches of space from every edge and away from the pole sleeve so nothing is hidden when the flag moves.

Use high contrast — dark text on a light background or the reverse — and limit the design to two or three colors plus your logo. Text should be at least six inches tall on Medium and Large sizes to read from the road.
